At the Endowment for Youth Committee (EYC), we provide access to opportunities and pathways toward sustainable success for underserved K–12 youth on the South Coast of Santa Barbara County. For youth who show scholastic merit, our EYC Scholars Program is where those opportunities begin.
Our Mission
Since 1986, EYC has provided opportunities for underrepresented students on the South Coast of Santa Barbara County through programs, activities and events that support academic excellence, internships, and recreational and cultural experiences that are stimulating and meaningful.
Our vision is simple: let’s maximize a prosperous future for underrepresented youth together.

Coming Up
Saturday, November 7, 2026 · Lompoc High School
A free, all-day conference with the Lompoc Teen Center: 250–300 students in grades 7–12 meet 20–25 career professionals, with free buses from Santa Barbara and Goleta.
February 21, 2027 · Center Stage Theater
“Refuse Hate – Embrace Love” — South County high school students compete for $500, $300 and $200 prizes during Black History Month.
March 13–14, 2027 · UCSB & Dos Pueblos H.S.
Boys and girls divisions, club and all-star teams from across California, and a Post-Secondary Scholarship Award, provided by the Monroe Foundation-Cliff Lambert Fund.
Every Summer
Paid internships with local businesses in sports medicine, design, architecture, animal care, finance, accounting, law and more.
EYC Scholars
We are committed to their success, and use our resources to help them thrive: afterschool tutoring, academic and career workshops, field trips and internships.
